Standard Features
The Chevy Equinox is a compact crossover with roomy seating
for five, plenty of headroom and legroom, and 30 cubic feet remaining
for cargo behind the second row. When you need to prioritize cargo
capacity, the 60/40-split second-row folds down to reveal up to 64 cubic
feet of maximum cargo capacity.
The base L trim is generously equipped with standard
amenities like keyless entry and ignition, LED running lights, 17-inch
alloy wheels, a Wi-Fi hotspot, OnStar, a seven-inch touchscreen
infotainment system, and smartphone integration via Apple CarPlay and
Android Auto.
The Equinox also includes many advanced driver-assistance technologies as standard equipment, such as:
- Forward Collision Alert with Automatic Emergency Braking
- Front Pedestrian Braking
- Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning
- IntelliBeam Automatic High Beams
- Rear Vision Camera
- Follow Distance Indicator
Performance
Under the hood, the Equinox has a choice of two
turbocharged engines to provide motivation. The standard turbocharged
1.5-liter four-cylinder engine produces 170 horsepower and 203
pound-feet of torque. Power runs to the front wheels via a six-speed
automatic transmission, and all-wheel-drive is an available option on
all but the base trim.
If you're looking for extra propulsion for your errands
around Warren, PA, the turbocharged 2.0-liter engine delivers. Paired
with a nine-speed automatic transmission, it cranks out 252 horsepower
and 260 pound-feet of torque. An Equinox equipped with a 2.0-liter
engine can tow up to 3,500 pounds.
